Professor Camilo Angelucci received his A.B. from University of Sao Paulo in 2001 and his Ph.D. from University of São Paulo in 2007. He joined the UFABC 2012 after postdoctoral work at the Univsersity of Alicante, Spain (2008). From 2008-2011 Professor Angelucci was a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the Federal University of Sergipe. During the 2016 he did a postdoctoral work in the University of Illinois.

Research area

Our research is at the interface of materials chemistry, organic chemistry, and nanotechnology. His primary goal is to develop nanomaterials for energy-related applications, and understand the chemical interactions of these nanomaterials with their surroundings. A diverse range of projects are currently pursued in the group: Glycerol conversion into high high value products though electrocatalysis examining the electrode surfaces in order to elucidate properties of the electrochemical double layer and focus on fundamental properties of the electrified solid-liquid interface.
