The Master's and Doctorate of the Graduate Program in Biotechnoscience of UFABC (PPGBTC) are recognized by CAPES and aim to train qualified professionals in order to contribute to the development of the biotechnology area of the country. Research under PPGBTC involves frontier investigations in bioinformatics, tissue engineering, nanomedicine, biophotonic, reproduction biotechnology, plant biotechnology, medical physics and industrial enzymes. The main mission of PPGBTC is to train human resources capable of acting in teaching, research and mainly generation of biotechnological products and processes to promote approximation between the academic and productive sector. The Program also aims to encourage students to exercise management and entrepreneurship activities in biobusiness by offering disciplines related to intellectual property and technology transfer.
